Born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1973, Goyona Jung received B.A.F. in painting from Hongik university.
Goyona Jung is interested in the Internet culture where people share their personal lives through social medias. Jung experiments with this contemporary phenomena in her art work: she uses images from live cameras to captures everyday life of her own and others on to her painting in a Performative way. In particular, she works with interest in the desire for self-exposure, which is commonly seen in personal SNS, and image making in human relationships through online.
Recently, she participated in the solo show < Filtering > at CR Collective and the < Composing Daily Fragments into Poems, 2020 > at Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei, Taiwan and participated in numerous domestic and overseas exhibitions.
